Director
Sarah Hodgkins
​
Sarah joined us as a classroom teacher in September 2012 and added her position as Director in 2013.
She came to us with seven years of preschool teaching experience.  Sarah graduated from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst with a Bachelor's Degree in Art, concentrating in Interior Design, minoring in 
Art History and Psychology, with later studies in Speech Pathology and Audiology.  
She studied Early Childhood Education and Administration at Greenfield Community College and 
earned her Director I certification.  Sarah resides in Amherst with her husband and has three adult children.

Whitney Heuschkel

​Whitney joined us in March 2018 as a classroom teacher.  She graduated from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst with a Bachelor's degree in English.  She worked with preschoolers in CA through AmeriCorps and with infants and toddlers in CT.   She is a certified preschool teacher.  Whitney resides in Northampton.

Danielle Italiano

​Danielle joined us in July 2021 as a classroom teacher.  She graduated from Westfield State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and Liberal Studies with a concentration in Sociology.  She worked with children at Bricks for Kids assisting them with constructing designs with Lego blocks.  She is a certified lead preschool teacher.  Danielle resides in Amherst.

Miranda LaPolice

Miranda joins us in September 2021 as a classroom teacher.  She graduated from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education.  She began her teaching career at Cloverdale in 2013 and is rejoining our staff after working with preschoolers in other area programs.  She is a certified lead preschool teacher.  Miranda resides in South Deerfield with her husband.  

Non-teaching Staff

​Laura Andersen

Laura, our Business Administrator, began her position in 2004 after the youngest of her two children graduated from Cloverdale.  She also served as co-chair on the parent board, Treasurer, and Secretary, while her children attended Cloverdale.  Laura earned her Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from Georgia State University and an Associate's Degree in Medical Administrative Science from Holyoke Community College.  Laura is employed full-time at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.  She resides in West Springfield.
